Not sure what team your son is on, but they were not strong.

from the score on the game against TAZ , it sure looks that way. Losing by 10 goals to TAZ does not seem strong. I heard eclipse beat them last spring.

The Eclipse team that beat Taz were mixed with 2023 players, after their game they went home and the real 2024 Eclipse played WP and got spanked.

Fake news. First, I don't believe they had any '23 kids. Can you imagine what the parents of the '24 kids would say about that, if that happened?? Second, why would they all go home, when it's time to play a championship? That doesn't make any sense.

Very weak competition. Taz beat all of the teams by a similar score that they beat their own B team (Launch). Thus, a B team tourney. Total waste of time.

the 2023 team was at the same tournament. Their division was done prior to 2024.A few were taken for the TAZ game which was their world series apparently, then they went home.
Th parents were cheering for kids by Jersey number..not by name....fact

Come on Taz always has a excuse when they lose. So you're saying the difference between Taz and teams are just a few players even if they are 2023 players? If so the gap is much closer then you think it is with the other so called B teams you constantly bash. Enjoy all the boys success and stop making excuses when they lose. We all know they are a great team. Launch clearly a B team. Must be so disappointing to all the parents who were saying Taz boys were coming to that team and they would be a A team also.

Taz is on it's way to irrelevance like every other Legacy team. It's not the kids or the coaches, it's the club. As soon as they stopped being the undisputed #1 team they stop attracting talent because the club itself isn't a draw by itself. Express has the Catholic school hooks and 91 has the marketing. Legacy has none of that. Sorry, but it is all downhill from here.

Very true. Look what happened to Outlaws. Now they're a C club.

More fake news. Taz lost to a team the WP crusshed. Fact. Get use to it. Pack doesn't lose to B teams. Yes, a reference to your TB loss. An even uglier loss.

Obviously the Legacy brand is a subpar brand in travel lacrosse. C’mon, they came to be, from a merger between Riptide and Havoc Dunedogs. They have a couple of decent teams, of which Taz is one. That’s it. On the landscape of significant travel clubs, they don’t exist. Not sure what will happen to Taz, but if my son were on the team, I would be seriosly thinking about other clubs, at this point. When it comes time for recruiting, those kids are at a serious disadvantage.

The jealousy is so apparent. TAZ still going strong and getting stronger every year. So is WP the 2 power houses at the 2024 on LI . Thanks for all the negative comments , just makes us stronger. Sad that parents put down those clubs because their kids can not make those teams.

Tb lost 15-0 to TAZ :. You really want to bring that up . All teams lose at some point : TAZ , Wp prove time and time again they are the top teams.

Taz Parent always making excuses for all their losses. They lose to TB, and they blame it in ‘23 kids. They lose to Eclipse... ‘23 kids again. The only team where that’s a legit argument is Madlax, who they always lose to. That’s coming in the next thread, right Tazzie?? Pathetic.

If a legit team ever picked up a few older kids like you are describing, there would be a major mutiny on that team, and they wouldn’t exist long at all. Would anybody reading this puut up with such a stunt??? My kid would be off that team the same day. Dude. You need to find some better material/lies/excuses!!

I have a 2024 and a 2020 Does anyone realize Legacy 2020 was and is still one of the most recruited 2020 teams nationally they have 7 or 8 kids committed. Has anyone seen TZ at a recruiting event being Hugged by college coaches. They are very relevant and will become more relevant in the future. Come tryout maybe yore son has a chance to make the team next year. Now go have a catch with your son his weak hand stinks.

So lets get into it. This is what I'm hearing at the 2024 level from parents who don't have boys on the top 2 teams. "Those teams only care about winning" or "Those teams are surrounded by negativity" or "those boys are only trained to win tournaments not play lacrosse" Lets get something straight. The WP coaches are as dedicated as it gets in youth lacrosse. They have taken a group of boys since 2nd grade and turned them into top lacrosse players within a 4 year time period. The time and effort but more importantly detail they put into this game and teaching these boys IQ of the game plus how to think and play when in a game situation is unmatched. 90% of this team is the same since day 1 and it shows. They have some of the best players in their positions in the 2024 class. Is a winning attitude and a want to win mindset a bad thing? No not in lacrosse, business or life. But if that is something you think is a bad thing than top level lax is not for you. Now take the Taz a good team at first and aggressively got better as time went on. Coaches are committed and the team has had a lot of success the last 2 years. Also a team with some top players at their positions. The boys work hard and are also trained to have a winning mindset and it has showed big time in the last couple of years. They deserve everything they have accomplished. To bash or take that away from them is unnecessary The Taz vs WP rivalry has sparked some of the best games around and the best thing to happen to these teams is that they are both at the top of their game. Its refreshing to see boys at this age take something they love and really put the effort in to be the best. Better than video games. There are other solid teams on LI (Express for one and Igloo who is up and coming and from what I hear TB is working hard on improving) This is not taking away from any other programs it just seems to me that the top 2 teams are always bashed on here and the stories are so far fetched its almost childish. I know some of it comes from not making these 2 teams and the parents walking around thinking its an inside job and "that's why my son didn't make it". These boys are not 3rd graders anymore, these teams are being built across the board to take the best kids and mesh them together to create a synergy that works. No different than high school or college ball. If your son had the skills and mindset he would be on these teams, they want the best players.PERIOD. To think your son is better than he is and then think he's not on a roster for some non lax reason is ridiculous. If you think otherwise you are looking through rose colored glasses. If your son had what it takes he would be on the roster and if he's not than he's just not there yet. Stop the bashing and putting these teams coaches, players and parents down. I wish every 2024 team on LI the best of luck.

WOW !!. Finally some one who makes a lot of sense. Thank you.

Same stunad with same lame comment about welcoming all the attention, nobody cares!!

So would it be safe to say that if you are not on one of these teams as you mention than you are automatically considered an inferior player?? Funny cause my kid has the skills and mindset and, is there, so brace yourself and hold your hat when I say he doesn't play on one of those entitled teams, never tried out for them and flat out has no interest in playing for them. No colored glasses, just a truth. Something you obviously have a hard time accepting

I think you should read the post again. I think its meant to say if you tried out for these teams, nothing about someone who didn't try out. I'm sure you son is able to play and that's great. Sounds like you've made up your mind. I thought it made sense after reading all the craziness I read on here, and no my kid isn't there yet. Could be a case of Super lacrosse dad and I know more than any other coach syndrome. Good job brah, I guess we all need to feel successful at something.

Blah, blah, blah, don't hate WP and Taz just because they are better than everyone else on LI. But it is OK for WP and Taz to humiliate any one below them, or bash the team that is above them (Madlax). Hypocritical, huh!?!

Wow. The jealousy runs deeper than ever. You people have reached an all time high. Keep sending your kids to our tryouts though. The clubs appreciate your $’s. But don’t get your hopes up. Your kids will be back on their B teams next year. And the jealousy cycle starts anew!
