Although the above scenario does exist it doesn't effect nearly the amount of kids you imply. "prefirst" only exists in private schools, only about a 1/4 of the girls on MD rosters attent these schools and only about 1/4 of them attended "prefirst". Generally speaking most kids that do go the prefirst route have summer Jun-Aug birthdays and would have a difficult time passing the classes at these extremely strenuous private schools. Mathematically that would leave 1-2 girls that would fall into this "hold back" scenario per team.

MD school do have a Sep cut off while NY has a Dec one. This creates a scenario we're some of the MD girls could be at a maximum of 3 months older. All these girls could not possibly be born on Sep1. so on average your looking more like 1.5 months older then NYs oldest girl. Now again mathematically out of a 20 girl roster on average 1/4 of them would be born Sep-Dec, so say 5 girls per team are around 1.5 months older.

This shows that on average MD teams will have 1 girl that in 9 months older and 5 girls that are 1.5 older. I call that apples to apples but then again we got the W!

MD high school age club teams are also still better then the NY teams. Not sure where you see the evening out...

The drawing from a larger geographical area is probably a better scenario why the MD teams are better. Also could be that there better trained/coaches and are just genetically superior. We were/are better then you, our parents were/are better then your parents. Scientifically it would only make sense that our kids were better than your kids.

Look around next time you play M&D you'll notice than the Fathers are usually in better shape and our more athletic. Our Mothers are in better shape and not shaped like humpty-dumpty like yours. You'll also notice LI men in general are slightly hunched back, more hairy and reek of olive oil. Reminding me of an Italian orangutan.... This is also more of a reason "M&D da best".

And your girls are older. That's why Elite couldn't compete at the Nationals they had to leave their older girls home same thing would happen to M&d no older girls means a loss. See you in Delaware at the Nationals this year dopey

MD has a lot of smack to talk. Shame your girls aren’t competitive with girls their own age. Holdback cheaters with whiny parents who teach their daughters to be floppers.

You do understand that Marylands September 1 date coincides with 95% of the country. We in New [lacrosse] are the oddballs in this one and are in talks with the Department of Education to try to change to September 1 as well. I'm not taking there side but it's a fact.

LOL. A whining parent claiming that a team's parents are whiners. How apropos! Sounds to me like you are making excuses and rationals for failure. Perhaps its Russian collusion. Damn Russians! Your team/club should stay home or play in the (B) bracket. Would not want any 95% [growth chart] kids, to get hurt by "holdback cheater" girls, that might be 1-3 months older than your daughters. Then in 2 years, when its time for the "great reckoning" and safe your girls, travel south and take down the "floppers" Just don't eat olive oil that day and stand up straight. Apparently that is offensive.

Maybe you didn't read the "We" part, I live in GC. The change we're seeking has nothing to do with sports it has to do with the difficulty of the modern day curriculum.

Won't matter. the top team will be competitive but will continue to be the bridesmaid with frustrated and entitled acting parents who cry and act like jackasses when they lose to TG (again this weekend), as well as the MD teams. The other teams have been decimated and anyone in their right mind would run for the hills from this defunct age group. A disaster!

The problem is lacrosse classifies by grade. Soccer classifies now by birth year they used to use August to August either way would be better than by using the grade system giving some kids a tremendous advantage when they are younger.

The reason is the youngest YJ teams have tryouts on December 1st. CR likes to post all the results at the same time.

Everyone knows what team they are on already. Just log on to where you registered for tryouts and you will see a coach's name if you made a team.

If memory serves correctly YJ beat your snowflakes in the first game 9-7 . If you going to be [lacrosse] at least be an honest [lacrosse]. Your snowflakes either tied the second game 8-8 or won 9-8 and in the process had multiple TG parents acting like they had $10,000 riding on the game. You definitely won the embarrassing of your kids award. TG parent are the MSNBC of travel lacrosse..

So let me get this straight you two imbeciles are arguing about the results of a 12 year old fall ball tournament that no actual scores were kept. You both need a reality check, most likely neither of your kids will be going to a top program and most certainly neither kid is going to make a living playing lax. What you two don’t get is you are from different clubs but are the same people .

Oh but you're on a higher moral ground and yet you're on back of the cage acting as the Moral Majority and knocking people. Save your magnanimous drivel for your kid in the backyard while you're teaching how to go left. And yes we are talking about 12 year old girls you moron, this is the 2023 threat isn't it. If you're more comfortable, head down to the 2020 thread. My original post was just to point out the mania that some clubs have that they never seem to lose even when they do. It about being honest. And when competing , everyone keeps score. ..Fact!!. if you're uncomfortable with competition, the Antifa march is coming up. Go chuck on a bandana and break something in protests. Or go join a union.

I learned today that it's too early to keep score and be concerned about 12 year olds playing lacrosse but not too early to determine determine how a 12 year old is going to make a living down the road despite never seeing that person. You're probably one of the guys who was on the field after lost to Blue Wave going over their mistakes.

Creative math if you think you won. I suppose your team won both games with no scoreboard you can spin it whichever way you want.

Funny how YJs can’t handle losing. They’ve been doing a great job at it all summer and fall. Why stop now? You should really shut up and practice more. Maybe some more private lessons? Its getting embarrassing!

As much as this has turned into a competition amongst the parents, many of these girls will go on to become HS and college teammates. There is some great talent on both teams, it is always a great game. Although TG has been coming out on top, these games could go either way easily. I say we take the best girls from both teams and form a new team, then go down to MD and kick some but!!

Because historically Y.J. parents have not only relentlessly bragged about how much better there girls/teams are than every other club on the planet, they also love to rub your face in it without mercy. so any, and everyone will, with overwhelming enthusiasm, grind into the face of every Y.J parent the fact that any team, and the club as a whole is on a downward tract, and never has a group of parents, or organization, deserved to more than you guys. So please save the good sportsmanship crap, no one wants to hear it from the Bees. Take your lumps with more dignity than you had when YOU were the ones dishing out the trash talk, and no that you truly deserve it

Gotta love when some internet moron acts like a tough guy "grind into the face of every yj parent ", sounds like you are just projecting what happened to your face by a lot crotches into the YJ parents.

We beat you both games 9-8. Tied your 2022 team 8-8 although most had us at 9-8. Fact. fact! FACT! No creative math. You all knew it when sotting stone faced quiet next to us between games as daddys coached daughters in frustration. You just can't admit to yourself you LOST. You will try to call this fake math, alt facts and ither non-sense but reality is Wave left there feeling great with those 3 games. There were no beatdowns fron either side...just excellent lacrosse. Fast paced and physical. They finally let them play. Now breathe, gather your dignity and sign up for Oyster Bay Sunday.

I believe second stringers who were mostly Empire 2023 also beat the Wave (YJ 23) team 6-5. TG humbled the Empire team to finish the day in a lopsided contest but just funny to see teams like Empire take down the Mighty YJ's. There was no disputing this score either as YJ pressed and pressed late and finally cut it to 1 but Empire was able to gain possession and run out the clock.
