The Gold team lacks talent, as does the bottom half of the Blue team. CR needs to go outside of the organization to get girls that can play.

An Elite organization should be able to develope what they have!

I hear this develope theory over and over again. That can only make a slight difference. Training and practice is great but it doesn't make slow kids into fast kids, it doesn't turn non athletic kids into athletic kids, it doesn't make a kid lost and oblivious on the field into a field general with great vision. It can bring a kids game up a notch or two, but most other kids on previous blue teams often were there because of the things you can't teach, speed, field awareness, aggression, athletic ability etc. you really think you can take any old group of kids and turn them around into a team that is going to go down to MD and go toe to toe with all the teams down there? Sorry, don't work that way.

I think both teams have talented girls. The management is a mess and egos are in the way. its too bad. it interfered with the development of the girls.

I'll tell you why it happened. YJ favored kids due to "who you Know" starting in 3rd grade, certain parents would not associate with others, and only cheer for their own cohort. Ironically, some of girls who these "chosen ones" snubbed their noses at got sick of the BS and left. Several turned out to be better than the Blue core and are producing on other teams. All the while, other organizations were building a group of talented and loyal players. In the end gluteny and greed has done that group in. Sad for them. And one more thing, some very nice and talented girls are thinking the grass will be greener miving to a YJ team....be VERY careful what you wish for, ask the girls who left why they did and how lacrosse became fun again before you sell your destroy your daughters love for the sport.

CR will make even more "Elite" teams this year for 2023 with the influx of the 91 girls. Watch.

That sounds great! 2023 has been lacking behind the older YJ age groups. I was wondering if they were going to ever have four top-level elite teams like the 2019's. Looks like things are on the upswing in the 2023's. Glad to see that this age group is finally moving towards the "Yellow Jackets way".

How do you make 4 elite teams when you barely have any elite players? If the handful (maybe 5) great players were smart they would leave YJ and join TG or Igloo, as the team will only get worse with the influx of more mediocre players, with the exception of the goalie. How many years of poor performance do you put up with before you realize it's time to move on?

NOT going to be ELITE when you hold a BS tryout and have girls who haven't even tried out yet playing on "A". Gonna be the same old BS. You don't just throw good athletes together and expect to have an elite team. You need to 1st get a coach who is capable of developing the kids. Btw, BT track record shows she isn't capable of this. Next you need to have a legitimate tryout with real evaluations. Last year BT wasn't even paying attention during tryouts. Teams are pre determined before tryouts. Watch and you shall see! Guarantee all the 91 Mt Sinai kids are on A this year. And we will be average once again.

YJ puts ZERO effort into their gold team. CR could care less. Only cares about board member BT

Do any of the girls that played on the YJ 2023 Gold team yesterday, have a realistic shot to make the Blue team??? Some people felt yesterday was a tryout in some ways for these girls

Saw CR on the sidelines, she didn't seem happy with what she saw.

With who blue or gold. or both? Wonder if she will do a complete overhaul. it is so needed

The Mt. S girls are average Gold level players with no business on Blue. Hek, they have never even played in a competitive tournament.

f ery frustrating for all. There should be room for movement. No one on Blue is that spectacular that they should feel there spot is secure afnd if its not several gold girls who could do it then it will be another program. Everyone is replaceable at this point. There is a shake up coming and people are not going to be happy. Especially the "golden group"

This age group lacks talent and the coaches aren't committed. It showed in the last tournament. Our players were outplayed.

You people are delusional if you think there's going to be any major shake up or change to the team. The only change is the team has traded one daddy coach for another daddy coach and now instead of one group of friends and family you'll have two. Tryouts are a joke and they should save everyone the headache and just email you the roster once you make your tryout payment. Would guess the only reason she's hooked up with this 91 guy is with intent to form three teams and I'm sure this guy got a pretty sweet deal and the more kids you bring over the better. At this point it's quantity over quality.

What is exactly the YJ way? .....charge extra for everything, sell a brand, then get your buts kicked by the competition? This age group is in big trouble, you can't have an upswing without gaining quality players. The best YJs in this age group got worse. In my opinion, only one girl now stands out on that team, she is from MC. Everyone else got worse, and the players that left got better. Other top girls in this age group do not play for YJ, and hate them, so don't expect any miracles.

The Gold team lacks talent, as does the bottom half of the Blue team. CR needs to go outside of the organization to get girls that can play.

Ha they did team Team 91 is on board now...watch out

CR will make even more "Elite" teams this year for 2023 with the influx of the 91 girls. Watch.

That sounds great! 2023 has been lacking behind the older YJ age groups. I was wondering if they were going to ever have four top-level elite teams like the 2019's. Looks like things are on the upswing in the 2023's. Glad to see that this age group is finally moving towards the "Yellow Jackets way".

HAHAHAHA like the 2019s have 4 top-level elite teams ... HAHAHAHA ... oh that's a funny one. Newsflash, there is one elite 2019 YJ team.

Other top girls in this age group do not play for YJ, and hate them, so don't expect any miracles.

ok dad lol

Hey, easy there. Let him be, when his doctors and handlers say that his daughter got a scholarship - it's true.
"Yes, she did get a scholarship - yes, it is a full-ride. Now, take these pills and take a nap."

Can't make final assessments on player performance based on this one past tournament. Consistency, stick skills, strong passing, unselfisness, scooping, endurance, shooting, good catching and game strategy is all critical. Can't have one good/bad game to be judged. This past tournament, observation for both teams was the top talented girls may not all have been at their peak performance. Not an excuse - have to keep in mind the field set up -- the length of field - small, crowded, sloppy & disorganized. In the end, it was for a good cause. Hats off to all who participated. Suggestion would be have three teams, there is work to be done with some players who do not have tenure with the game on Gold and Blue. If they continue to add girls to the existing teams it will continue to diminsh quality. Adjust fairly to make it fun and less resentful for some parents. One last thought, at this level, families are paying a decent amount for this no matter what year you are, there is an expectation set, which is to have players strive to get even better, equal opportunity for all girls selected to the team and the biggest one yet ... no parents as coaches. No matter who you may be. YJ organization makes a profit, with that invest in good coaches with exceptional credentials. Let's all make lax great again.

Well said...I think here lies the heart of the problem.

It shouldn't be equal opportunity for the girls being selected it should be fair. In watching the girls play it is clear some girls continue to put the work in to become a better player while others don't have the same work ethic. Some girls looked good playing against 23 gold, 24 blue, 24 gold but when it came to the 23 tg they didn't look good and were outplayed. The girls on this team need to work harder to raise their level of play. If you are selected to blue your daughter is expected to be able to come in a contribute.

That Yellow Jacket blue team was pretty solid when the kids were in 4th grade. They completely destroyed it. They had some good players that they should of developed. Instead they played silly games and went the FF way. Lost a lot of talent and didn't develop the kids they had..sad

Some of the best girls already left, funny thing is they didn't get a chance to show that when they were on YJ. More expected to follow

Girls that play or don't play? That would be the difference maker
