Actually, girls lacrosse is the dead end sport. But that wasn't the original point. My point is that kids that are 11 and 12 should be doing other things instead of lacrosse. Doesn't have to be soccer, could be volleyball for all I care. Just to get a break.

Plus, the tournament that is mentioned is another YJ event and most people do not want to be associated with the YJ regardless of the charity.

Then why is YJ charging the girls over 2x what my daughter is paying (50$) to play? Terrible robbing the families like that!

Why all the hate? I'm sure they are using the extra $ on the gift basket for the Chinese auction.

Watching YJ Blue, Gold and TG play today, it seems that TG is a step ahead of Blue, and Gold took a few steps back. The new YJ goalie will be an important improvement to that team, without her the scores would have been much worse.

YJ teams at this age group are an embarrassment to the organization. Glad there is going to be a new coach, I bet a lot of girls are getting nervous!

Agreed. The goalie kept us in the game. The TG field players are very skilled. Hoping the new coach helps changes the atmosphere on this team. Calling them an embarrassment is uncalled for they lost 1 game today to a talented team.

Definitely a little harsh. YJ Blue has several very talented players. Was a great game today between two very good teams, full of dedicated awesome young ladies. It's a shame YJ lost great players to TG, however, YJ new goalie is fantastic. A great rivalry, helps all the girls get better so WE can kick some MD But!

I wouldn't say head and shoulders, but YJB definitely a few players short. However, I noticed that YJB certainly separated themselves from Gold. Blue probably would be the top team in the age group but the whole coaching debacle of friends and family has tainted this team. They lost girls to other teams that would have been difference makers. Girls that would have been scoring goals for them are now scoring against them. A shame. With new coaches and players imminent, we'll see if they can get there act together? Not sure if it's possible at this point.

The top players were being competitive while many still having difficulty catching and throwing. Coaches did a good job rotating 16 players

TG looked better. YJ Blue goalie excellent addition the field players weren't very sharp. YJ Gold didn't look good at all. If TG and YJ merged that would be one heck of a team.

Agreed, and WOW that 91 goalie that is now on YJ is excellent!! Hats off to that goaltendingperformance, esp in a 7v7 setting.

Do any of the girls that played on the YJ 2023 Gold team yesterday, have a realistic shot to make the Blue team??? Some people felt yesterday was a tryout in some ways for these girls

New top players from 91 made NO impact at all. Just more averageness. Damn shame YJ can't coach up the kids they have. The classic "tail wagging the dog" scenario. Smart ones left and went to TG or elsewhere. CR better shake it up at tryouts or get used to the back seat and taking 4th and 5th place. 2023 needs a coach who is skilled at coaching. Getting these people who were good players with no credentials or real coaching experience is more of the same nonsense. BT may have been a great player in her day but definitely not a great coach. Thats why we were outclassed by TG again.YJ 2023 spinning out of control.

There were only 2 field players from 91 and the goalie (3 in total). One was the coaches daughter who fit in well on the Blue team, and another girl who is a defender, but wth said that these were the TOP players from 91??? 2 players a goalie and you make that comment???

I think a couple showed that they certainly were on par with blue. But why would they want to come up and sit on bench? I m sure some of the gold girls must be getting frustrated especially if they kids are in tune to the politics of it all.

If it was for charity, then why did CR take advantage of the families by charging over double what she should have???

Yes.91 was a mixed 23/24 team. That was top of the pack. The goalie is outstanding and a great add.

Because that's just how evil she is, and [lacrosse] stupid the YJ parents are. YJ has been doing this for a long time now. I guess it helps them get a better write off come tax time.

Please this team is solid. The athletes here are far superior to any in this age on Long Island. By the end of the season they will once again be the among the two best teams in the country.

one girl went down to Gold last year, and now is back up, but still does nothing except have size. The girls that were moved up last year are back down . A total waste of a year for them spending all that money, didn't play, and now the embarrassment of getting demoted. All the flip flopping is ridiculous. Does it get any worse??

The Gold team lacks talent, as does the bottom half of the Blue team. CR needs to go outside of the organization to get girls that can play.
