Why? Scrubs are a good way to describe anyone, kid or otherwise, who contributes nothing to a team other than fodder to practice on. The good kids have class. They don't need to brag. The scrubs don't.

You are a real special kind of *sshole. You're probably the guy that didn't hand in his high school jersey at the end of the season and now has it framed in his "man cave".

That dude doesn't have an old jersey because he. Ever played anything more than little league baseball. No one who played at any level above JV would ever describe his teammates as scrubs. What a loser, hope your a step dad, because your kid got a real piece of sh*t for a dad otherwise.

Scrub dad has his panties in a bunch. Junior doesn't play much? Give Channy some more money that might change if you can afford it, scrub. Or you could spend that time teaching scrub junior some manners. Then you can leave Scrubville and live happily ever after like a fairy.

It varies, because some parents like the practice that A teams have and think their son will improve. I guess it's hard to argue because the more practice the better.

Teams in my opinion should have a max size of:

2 Goalies
6 poles
9 middies is the max. Rotating 3 lines is tough, but a good coach will make it work. Let the kids and parents know that bench will shorten in the last 5 minutes in tight games. The only time this gets sticky is when there is a game with a lot of flags. Then the lines get short shifted. But no more than 9 should be on the team. Also with 9 mids you can develop a D mid or LSM at this age to make it work.
6 attack

Any more than that and then playing time becomes an issue and you must decide is the practice time worth being on the team. To each his own.

There's no way that alll he took. Must be 10 more that will never see the field. Otherwise he would have 3 teams.

You are still a little short. 30 kids to start the season. Most, if not all the kids are returning from last year and he added a few.

Its not an A team if they have more than 22 kids on it.......A team with half a B team. If your kid doesn't start or first in off bench you are part of the B team just supplementing the tuition of the top players.

Thanks in advance.

My son was told he would be a starting attackman if he came. I guess they told that to everyone. That is total crap and that's exactly why we are staying with Express. Anyone that promises you that your kid is going to start before even seeing the full team practice is lying to your face. The coaches on Blast are salesman whose jobs are to fill the 91 coffers.

When the lies and deceit begin at tryouts, you had better buckle in and get ready for another bumpy ride Blastards.

They all called around, don't kid yourself, it's part of the business of winning.

And you know Express brought in kids before tryouts and guaranteed spots to players from both Blast and Geese. And beyond that, do you really believe Channey didn't make any calls? I know he called me and said directly that I didn't need to pay for my son to tryout and then he had the balls to ask if I could bring other kids who would pay.

And I'm sure "they" told your son, but not you that he would start, yeah I'm sure that's what happened the coaches just walked right up and told your little Rob Pannel that when they begged him to come. By the way, I saw your kid, he certainly isn't good enough to start, or from what I can tell even play.

I know how it works, [lacrosse] Blaster. The coaches approached me, ME, after the second tryout and told me they want my son on the team and that he would be a starter. You don't know me or my kid. But it sounds like you're a little pissed that he was offered a starting attack spot. I'm guessing your kid plays attack, or at least he did last year. Don't worry, he'll probably still play a few minutes a game next season.

Too freaking funny, now we all know how delusional you are. That Never Happened and you know it. During tryouts, my son pointed out your kid to tell me how soft he is. Maybe back in Channey world your son will get to catch a pass from the ball hog middies if he hasn't been replaced with the new OLDER kids.

What a waste of 4K!

You mean Same AGE kids!

They are the same age as the kids they are playing against which is why they can reclassify so what is the big deal?

Reclassification of grade is not age - for 99.9% of reclassed, that means they are older than the kids they have reclassed to. Class = grade, not age.

Are they in sixth grade 2024 or not? Simple question. Asked differently, is the kid graduating High School in 2024 or 2025?
They are not the same age, THEY ARE OLDER!
Reclassify is a made up term for cheating if the boy hasn't been held back a grade in school.

Now I generally don't like hold backs, but under the system, the kid is playing by the rules as they stand.
But this phony holdback system that folks are trying out this year is really the biggest scum move of all.

The best part is this usually doesn't become a debate until much later grades on BOTC. We will be discussing the same thing until this age graduates. Egaaaaad.... I can tell you the ones that hate it, call it cheating, the ones that are neutral, say its within the rule, and the one's that encourage it, are doing what's best for their kid. And everyone is entitled to their opinion and are free to do they see fit. And guess what...the system ain't changing.

Next topic. What clubs are playing on Columbus Day? Obviously the Leggy teams will be there. Express has been a big participant in the past as well.

My insight is only from reading BOTC. But inconsistant coaching year to year is tough. I wouldn't say disaster because I don't know. But let's give them (young athletes) a chance to succeed before hitting the replay button on old posts.

Agreed. I've seen them play, they look like a pretty talented group of boys. I do hoping the coaching stabilizes for them.
