How many county award levels are there for suffolk ?
All county, all conference etc.?

Has anyone ever heard of or played in The National Lacrosse Classic senior games? Daughter keeps getting emails she was "selected" but it $250 and in Virginia.

Possibly, but WM would have had to first teach a few of their middies how to move the ball. Not all about stat padding, but then again that seems to get rewarded

Congratulations to Middle Country. Only game I'll be able to see today. I was impressed by Middle Country's defense. Congratulations to Northport as well. As a #5 seed they beat some good teams to get there, just met a better team then any they had played to that date.

Seems the ALL CAPS mom is still crying that her daughter's team LOST. Get over it.......find a hobby!

It must be hard for the faux-rich up in Northport to lose to the blue collar MC team. Will you excuse the dismantling of your super team the same way excused the grand larceny, the poultry punishment, the weak leadership from the coach, the school, and the parents? You deserve every comment you receive because of the inflammatory and childish posts that you parents left on this site in the week leading up to the beating you just took/deserved. Bad parenting, coaching, and school leadership leads to another almost season for NP.

What in the world are you babbling about? You are making stuff up. MA/RI Team 2 did not play Team 1 before the tournament. The evaluation process occurred at tryouts and the teams had 1 joint practice. 1 girl on team 1 got hurt and a girl from team 2 was brought up for the tournament. Congrats btw to MA/RI teams who all performed extremely well in the tournament.

Rocky Point got throttled again by ESM for the second time this season tonight and took Class B .. They Never had a chance !

RP couldn't win a draw or ground ball and clueless coach never made an adjustment to try something different. Coasted through the regular season against bad teams then couldn't compete against a good one. Difference in shots and goals pretty much matched the time of possession.

New flash....WM did not get anything done so not sure what players you are talking about that can "get the job done." Didn't happen this year, last year or any year. They completely collapsed in semi's. If they were better should have been playing today.

Mt. Sinai...4th straight Suffolk B title. It says something about the program when you're able to sustain this level of play over this many years. And before all the haters out there depict me for being from Sinai, I'm not. I don't have a horse in the race as my daughter graduated two years ago from a neighboring school district. Just amazed at how good this program is overall. Good luck to them against either CSH or Wantagh.

Don't blame the rp coach on the outcome , seriously the people surrounding and suffocating him are the only clueless ones !
The coach cannot make sudden adjustments to girls who played all season long to get ground balls they had plenty of time to practice during the season for this night to get it right ! They were truly outplayed and truly not as good as many think they are to compete against ESM or any other top tier team . So moving forward till next year enjoy travel season and keep your mouth shut and nose clean !

As bad as it was, they actually had some chances. Must have blown at least 7-8 free positions when they got good shots off - 3 early in the game that helped to get momentum going the other way - and way too many unforced errors, throwing the ball away, hanging stick to be checked, etc. ESM definitely the better team (again), but could have been closer.

Can anyone at the game comment on the three 8th grade players that were brought up to varsity for ESM, did any of them step foot on the field? According to the ESM AD at a school board meeting, any middle school players brought up to Varsity, must be extraordinary players who contribute as a key members of the team and participate in MORE than 50% of games. During the regular season, they played in a VERY small % of games (well under 30%) and essentially zero time in close match ups. What is most interesting about this is that the 'AD' who fought for this rule to be implemented by the school board is now giving out exceptions to his own rule to help his 'friends', forcing them on the Varsity coach. Maybe the new superintendent should investigate BM for this behavior as it seems like he is showing 'favoritism' to his football buddy and their two friends. The new ESM superintenent should not allow a corrupt AD from ruining the sports programs at ESM. I am sure that once they peel back the onion, more of his deeds will be uncovered.

I think it's harder for the teams Northport beat as a #5 seed to get to the finals. Middle Country was by far the better team yesterday but Northport did beat teams to get to that final. That's the way it goes.
