anyone from RVC comment on their futures program this year? are kids leaving for other clubs? Grew up in RVC and still take some pride in seeing you guys play as town over the summer. Thanks.

You may want to try the 'Northeast Lacrosse' forum - That is where all the New [lacrosse] clubs are discussed. You may not have much luck in this Maryland forum.

So the Team 89+2 MD "player of the week" is a 5th grader. And just happens to be the son of the owner.

LOL. This club is a joke.

That's right, in Maryland all of your 2024's are 6th graders.

You both are clueless. In fact, Player of the Week is in the 4th grade.

Why is it so wrong that wrong??? If they do it for the other kids when they are the player of the week, he should be treated the same way regardless of who he is related to. Now the different side is if they don't promote / tweet/ instantChat/snapface , about the other players as well. If EVERYONE is treated equal...don't penalize the kid because of the father

They only put him out there first to jump start the new process and to encourage the other players to complete a profile and participate. Give it a rest.

It's pretty well documented that the owner is only concerned with the promotion of his kids.

Right. Complete coincidence it's the owner's kid.

Right, because he needs to live through, and promote his 9 year old, that plays up. You have it all figured out.

Does anyone know what teams will be playing AA and A this year? Does HoCo look at last years results to make a determination, or do the clubs make those decisions?

I believe you are right. Looney's and Breakers were the 2 best teams last year in A and should be playing in AA.

Yep, but I doubt Looney's will have two 2024 teams in AA.

Interesting. Thanks. Looks like Madlax ran the tables last year. Pretty impressive. Some good teams in this league.

Yep. He's easily the majority of the 2024 offense, and yes, I am sure he is a fine young man. No one is attacking him personally.

Lacrosse is ruled by Private School East Coast holdback mentality.
USL while claiming to be for age base is in and run by Baltimore people. The Baltimore Region is where holdbacks rule the field.

I'm very confident clubs will go to Birthday cutoffs when the colleges stop evaluating based on graduation years.

Colleges will never go to age based recruiting? Why would they? Every sport recruits by grade. You don't see basketball and football parents - who see much more reclassing - this worked up as lacrosse parents are.

The kid is used to it by now. He plays 5th grade AAU. Keeps a birth certificate in his sports bag in case anyone wants to check his age. They should adopt AAU rules for lacrosse. If they did, it would finally put this recurring string to rest.
