Haha ESM Mommy. Nice try but no cigar. Express B had no help at all from any outside team and they actually only had a 15 man roster for the finals due to other conflicts. Not one Express A kid played with them. Those boys were actually watching and cheering for them before they had to get ready for their own game. Leave the adding of players to the Longboards, that's their pathetic game.

LONGBOARDS=Napolean complex
LIttle dad & little sonns & will do anything to win at all costs even with his "TOWN " team
He needs to recruit as many horses as possible to make up for those little guys

I think/hope that was meant top be a joke as everyone played Taz this weekend. Taz boys were all over the place, Longboards, ESM, Scrambled Eggs, Peque, and even the 2025 Geese.

Longboards is not a town team and those kids do not need any help. Also do you play lacrosse to lose sound like someone is a little bitter.

They don't need any help other than all the jerseys being swapped for taz kids for the finals..
The days are numbered for the little ones, move to attack ,then gone in place of bigger, faster, stronger atheletes.

afraid not. attack kids are getting bigger stronger and just as fast as the little guys.
same thing with defensemen. the size and athleticism of the kids at post h.s. level is amazing. that doesn't mean you cant enjoy watching your child play in these younger years, but if dad is 5'7 and mom is 5'0 its not a rosy picture for potential size.

The sport is being played by bigger, stronger athletes. Can a small fast player make it? Yes but they are far and few between and are rarely seen anymore. They also need to be a ridiculous player. 6'1 210-225 is an average size for a lax player at the higher levels. Not hard to look this up, check out any college roster and you will see the #s

Matt Cavanaugh was considered tiny at 5'8" 175lbs. He was dominant. Dillan Molloy is listed at 6' 220 lbs. Lots of leg strength.

Hofstra has 9 attack on their roster. 6 are below 6 feet. 2x are 5'8" and you know sizes are inflated. Similar story at Stony Brook. 6 of 11 attackers are under 6 feet.

Thanks, took your advice. Looked at Stony Brook's roster and there are 20 players that are under 6' and 200lbs. So, you're correct that it certainly helps to be 6'+ and 200+ it definitely doesn't mean a smaller player doesn't have a shot to play at that level.

Plenty of room for the under 6 foot kids. Denver has 22 of them on their roster and they are the gold standard

Look at most any D1 roster and at least 1/3 of the players are under 6' and 200lbs. Again, being a big kid certainly helps, but there are plenty of smaller players that make it to that level. Arguing about it on a 2024 forum is a little ridiculous.

what is small? Jordan wolf, jimmy bitter rob panel, sankey? then look at kids like kevin M - headed to Michigan etc etc etc- I understand what your saying , but a crafty , quick, tough gritty player should be able to play somewhere?

Settle down, you missed my point. Cavanaugh was the exception to the rule. Molloy is not considered big at 6'; however, he's 220 pounds.

NO, Please, not this argument again!!!!!

Look at all sports, are the players any of them getting smaller?

Football? Basketball? Baseball? NOPE.

But lacrosse will buck the trend so the average kid size wise can still have a chance at glory in his parents minds. CooCoo.

looked at syracuse, hopkins, maryland, UNC and all had 15-20 players under 6 feet tall. Cavanaugh, bitter, sankey, manny, pannell. Those are just a few of the elite MLL players that come to mine. Bigger is better all other things being equal. And players today are bigger than they we in 70,80, 90s - but you could say the same about most sports.

while you see a lot of rosters with 5'10 or 11" . sure that's under 6' but huge difference between that size and say 5'3" or 4' kids. small and crafty? that's not going to help if you are really small. there are many big, fast strong and crafty kids.

You really are thick headed aren't you? Nobody said that being a bigger player doesn't give them an advantage. But, about half of all college rosters are kids 6' and under. To say that 10 year olds that are on smaller side now will never have a chance, makes you sound stupid and uninformed.

Wrestling? They had to create a superheavyweight class because there was too much disparity. Soccer players are longer, leaner and faster while carrying more weight. To argue against nature is just dumb, dumb, dumb.

no one is arguing against nature - no doubt kids are bigger now than ever before - and harder and harder for a smaller guy to compete against a 6 foot 4 long pole who can also run with the wind., however - there is some truth to the fact that 6 foot 4 may have a tougher time defending against a smaller attackman who is actually tougher to cover than a bigger guy due to the size. im not saying its the norm, but some of these kids can get so low, it makes it harder for these bigger guys
