I feel bad for the town teams that had a great chance at a tournament win, but will lose out on that experience because the Tornados, an A team (at least they were probably told that), were that desperate for a shirt. Congrats, you beat Loonys B and town teams, if you guys can get past Three Village.

If you guys think you can figure it out then God bless you. Prime Time lost to Brotherly Love by 2 but outplayed them and hit 5 pipes. Dukes tie HB. Warriors beat Dukes. BL beats HB. HB plays Bandits to a one goal loss. Bandits blow out S2S. Igloo, Dukes, Warriors and FCA play in the loser bracket. FCA and Igloo end a very good 1 goal game with a fight.Bandits, BL, HB and S2S play in the winner bracket. All of those teams are very good. You can say what you want, but none of them suck. They are all competitive teams and all of them got better because they played quality games against quality opponents this weekend. The teams that weren't there played against very weak competition and did not learn anything.

Why do people have a problem with this? Some team need wins. Empire is a very competitive B division team. Right on the cusp of competing in A. They are only a 2nd year program. Leg Tornados won in B today too, but that's where they should be. That's not meant to be a criticism of either team. Kids don't want to lose all the time. You need to keep them winning so they will continue to enjoy the sport. Once they are more improved, they will probably play in A divisions at more legitimate tournaments. But for now, they are finding the right fit for them.

A win is a win. They are kids. Jeez

First off empire was in the A bracket. They played all teams from out of state that they have never played before. How are they supposed to know the talent level of those teams? They went up to Rhode Island and the kids had a great weekend with a very good championship game. Last I checked they were all 2023 kids and played in the 2023 A bracket. What am I missing?

It is common knowledge that the best teams play at NXT. Just like War Games, Empire avoided the tougher teams to play in tournaments against weak teams so that they could win. There were no legit A teams in Rhode Island. And that is ok. Good for the boys on getting the win!

Last I checked the kids and the parents don't choose what tournaments they are entered in. Unfortunately it's the organization that does. The kids play 100% regardless of their competition. They lost to the Outlaws 4-3 in the championship this year and lost to the Warriors last year by a goal and let's face it the Warriors aren't the team they used to be. Say what you want, that empire team can be just as competitive on any given day.

must be beside himself seeing his team play like crap.

Outlaws are second tier in 2023. Warriors are much better than last year, but not a top 4 team yet. They just stepped up to play with the big boys this year. At least I can respect a team for that. Empire did the opposite. They got worse and played teams that no one has ever heard of. Are they playing Lax Clash to end the season or are they hiding that weekend too?

Who said anything about Warriors? It's pretty obvious this is coming from an ex-Warrior parent who also happens to be an ex-Empire parent. Just let it go.

Empire played one real team all season. The outlaws and they got beat 2x. The rest of the teams were town teams. Nobody fears empire.Real teams will kill them. Hopefully they don't hide from the good teams again. Very embarrassing if I'm a parent and I gotta watch my team play B teams all the time.

Express had won their last 2 tournaments beating Laxachusetts and S2S in finals and got beat 4-3 by Bandits in this weekends semi - AJ has them humming!!

That's what you think of at 3:30 AM. You may need to speak to someone, because you have serious issues.

How about sputtering....2-2-1 this weekend. Team doesn't look for new talent..32 breaks up and AJ doesn't add one kid. They can keep pretending until MC comes in a takes the team.

BM aspired to be the best and to keep improving. Kids are not motivated the same way under Current coaches.

You guys are comparing HBs and others to how they dominated when they were 8 and 9 years old. Didn't you read this board when older parents told you that that didn't matter??Fortunately for everyone, many more kids are playing travel lax. This has led to much more parity on the grade level. Having many good teams is way better than 1 or 2 dominant teams. You'll see some teams take on a bunch of new players and get a lot better next year and some make only minor changes and stay the same. That's how it works. The balance of power, or top 4 teams, will change annually. This has been a much more interesting season than years past, that's for certain.
