Ok that is why he left that team and moved to Madlax. We will see how awful these two are when they are paired with Madax lefty attackman. He is small but can score goals with anyone.

I think his older brother is a 2018 UNC commit. If this is true it makes since they had the inside track to get this done so early

The 2020 FCA commit to UNC was committed from time he was born. Let's be real..the Kelly family is probably single biggest financial contributor to UNC lacrosse program. Long family line that have gone there. Some very good players but having watched the 2 younger ones..2018 and now 2020 they don't seem to possess the speed and athleticism of their cousins. Don't see either one being a D1 contributor but time will tell.

What a load of BS. Do you see the #s the 2018 puts up for CHC? Have you seen the #s the 2020 puts up for a very good FCA 2019 team? They are both great lacrossse players.

Your sensitive but I'd put money on it that neither becomes impact player. I've watched them both many times and they are good players but not D1. D1 player is becoming more athletic each year and less and less the Richie rich kids sport that great stick skills and dad's wallet is all you need. You need to have athletic ability. Neither are athletes..just lacrosse players.

Crabs loses to Laxachussets....7-6....all those holdbacks and they keep losing to teams they use to beat. Maybe too many chiefs and not enough Indians on that team. Team 91 already cruised by Laxachussets in Pool play.

Forget the fact that they added another year of school to their life- and will be repeating all the curriculum in the process, I think it is really risky to leave your kid back just for a sport. They better be able to blow through younger kids, or they just wasted a year. Coaches may not care if they are held back, but they do care if they get beat by younger, smaller kids- not a good look.

Too bad Crabs didn't get to play 91. They would have gotten destroyed. Fat crab probably lost on purpose so he didn't have to lose by double digits.

These 8th grade college commits are comicle. No clue what these kids will be in 4 years but sounds great to say a top college wants me for now. If you don't pan out they will drop u like a bad habit. I think it's so foolish that parents allow their kids to commit so young. Where's the kids motivation moving forward.

I've seen a few kids motivated by the fact that they knew grades, behavior and play were being watched and meant something to more than just their family. I think it depends on the kid and the family. You have to know your kid, but ultimately, kids take their cue from their parents. Entitlement is modeled, as is hard work. If your kid knows he has to prove himself through hard work, he will do so. If the kid feels entitled to the "spot" and he's Gods gift to the school, then the results may be disastrous for sure.

Why go up there when the head coaches for Maryland, unc, and Loyola as well as the offensive and defensive coordinators for Hopkins were at BSK?

I agree if you think about it. It is brilliant, put the pressure on the in 9th grade and see how he handles it. If he thrives he will be ready to handle big time D1 lacrosse. If he gets cocky and grades slip you drop him and you dodged a bullet. If you compare it to football the kids on the D1 track are told and know they are on track to play D1. But with football the kids size is such a bigger deal as it compares to success same goes for Basketball. But with the lack of money paid out compared to the spots filled each year. 12 spots compared to 3 rides at the best.

So little scholarship money in lacrosse...I wonder what is being promised an 8th grade early committ. Are they being offered a 1/2, 1/4, or full. The verbage is probably open ended. Very doubtful any of these kids are getting full but maybe. Must say football D1 kids are a different atmosphere of athlete. If these kids ever shift to lacrosse as their second sport then the game elevates to another level.

The best competition is not 5 hours away. Crush 2020 is a special team and has been for years. But besides that the teams up their are hit or miss. Crabs was in the finals in 3 of 4 divisions and won 2 titles. Crabs 2020 is weakest of the Crabs teams and they were still top 3. Between Baltimore, Philly, and DC is the best lacrosse in the country. Long Island is also very good but doesn't seem to have the depth of good teams that Baltimore Metro area does.

The Crabs 2020 team is fat crab's prized team. Despite the fact that an 8th grade team has 16 year olds on it - they are still aren't that good. It really is too bad we didn't get to see them play Crush. It would have been a repeat of Denver.

Not true, only reason Boston, Philly, Balt/DC does well at summer club tourneys is because the vast majority of their rosters are populated with older kids. It is what it is, so show some humility.

I think the point is that the best competition came to play in LI this weekend. Teams were from all over. There were some elite teams at other places but the deepest field was in LI. Sad that some teams seem to avoid challeging themselves other than maybe once in the summer.

I think those tournaments in Balt/DC had some great teams, coming up to LI is a pain in the [lacrosse], traffic, annoying strong island parents drinking at 9am, and awful hotels. Best place to meet is in NJ or Philly. The Crush are the best, period, full stop. But they have to work harder to win games now and the games from a spectator's point of view are fun to watch. There's no shame in not being #1 in this age group, the 2-7 teams are all excellent.

And they never substitute, most other elite teams play everyone whereas Crush just plays their starters, so keep the two best attackman on the field the entire game makes it tough for anyone to compete.

Crush 2020 would have been destroyed by Tenacious Turtles when they were 8th graders. Much bigger physically, and much more depth and overall talent.

Top 5 guys for Crush are very good, but big drop off after that.

You are an idiot. Top 5? Really. After seeing X play he may be the best kid in the country, maybe best 2019 kid too. Than you have two new middies (one committed) along with 3 outstanding middies, plus 2 ridiculous poles. 5? Really? Crush would beat most 2019's period.

Being that Laxachusetts just beat crabs and lost in final to Crush they belong much higher. After watching them this weekend I would place them top 3 They are a very Large team as in they look like they are older
