The Roslyn (N.Y.) lacrosse team needed a victory against Nassau Conference rival Glen Cove (N.Y.) to guarantee a playoff spot, and Jordan Hurwitz provided it in the form of a miraculous goal from 75 yards out.
With time running out, Hurwitz fired a desperation attempt that somehow found its way to the back of the net and broke a 6-6 tie. It’s one of the most remarkable goals you’ll ever see.
Hurwitz also had the assist on Hunter Rebetti’s game-tying assist with four minutes remaining, so you could say the kid had himself a day. Roslyn improved to 8-6 in the always competitive Long Island lacrosse region.

I was interested that in the video the kids had a lot of poise and said lots of the "it's about the team and my teammates" things you hear after pro games. Cliche or not, they seemed pretty reserved to me. Too bad there is no video a little while after the game so we could see them all much more charged up and excited.

Give credit to the head coach, Jesse Sorensen for getting through to most of his players. Class act coaching and teaching the game the right way.
