Are the Crabs still playing on Long Island this weekend? Heard they bailed out of the play day/tourney they were in.

Crabs 2021 was scheduled to go but bailed out. It was on their webpage earlier this week but now it is gone. And they usually play on Sunday in the HOCO league but that game was moved to this Tuesday as they were originally going to be in NY. This is typical of Crabs to bail at the last minute. Must have seen the teams they were scheduled to play and didn't like what they saw.

Either that or their goalie broke his hand. But you are probably right. They were afraid.

Crabs 2020 isn't going up because the lineup is terrible, so it's a waste of time and gas to drive up there. Truth hurts.

Goalie broke his hand. Slammed it in the car door at Drivers Ed.

So they committ to playing and then cancel a few days before because they are too good? Says a lot and supports the all about them attitude. They have done that several times or left early from venues this spring. What prima Donas and bad sports.

That would be a poor reflection on character. Like they did not know ahead of time the line up? The Club was throwing another hissy fit that they could not control the organizer and the rules they were playing under. Truth.

Crabs 2020 was never going. Just keep making up more lies. It's what this site is for apparently.

And this surprises no one. What do you expect from an organization that has 16 year olds on their 8th grade team? Ethical behavior is not their strong suit.

They actually were going out of town for a play day that was planned for months. Maybe they just did not tell you.

But then they might lose and that would be devastating for these holdbacks and their team mates. Instead it works better for them to keep beating up on kids younger and smaller then them and claim to be winners. What is frightening is the extent their parents will go to convince their sons that they are winners or the parents of the few non holdbacks on the teams that are telling their sons it is okay to coast along on the tail of others who are taking advantage of younger kids.

Crabs should be irrelevant to this thread. The on age players that give them a run for their money, and there are those that will, are the ones that will stand out. A team win at this age is not as important as what an individual can do as they play against a team of older kids. When up against other holdbacks, and younger kids with more talent, the holdbacks lose their advantage. If they can only beat your team by 3-4 goals, is that a true "win" for them? I'd call it embarrassing if that is the best they have against younger kids. Play them, play hard, enjoy the fact that your kids can score on them, defend against them and stop their shots, especially if they are a year or two younger than these left back kids. When you can stand out against these kids, you take away their power and many kids will be able to do so. As far as them being a 2020, count them out and move forward. Let them boast and brag and know that they only got there by playing younger teams. Your kids and teams could do the same if you made a team of older kids, not a big feat or anything to applaud, but certainly not worth degrading your kids ability and intelligence by leaving them back in school and playing on younger teams.
