Only thing that matters in NYPLL is record first, then goals against and then common opponents goals against. There could be several possible swings for whose going to playoffs till after this weekends games.. Age is irrelevant at this point in NYPLL since it is all grade based on graduation year.

We were talking about 2019 A, only two teams going to playoffs. VLC is in and then either Madlax or Hawks will be the other team

How would they? In three way tie they go to God against to remove one team eliminating Bethesda. Then it goes off head to head eliminating Hawks. Tiebreakers are in website.

There is no playoff schedule on the website. The standings don't reflect tiebreakers. Check 2020A. Storm Beat VLC, but VLC is shown ahead of Storm in standings.

By the tiebreaker rules in the league constituiton, Bethesda is eliminated due to GA and then it goes to head to head vs remaining two teams. So, there is no possible way that Hawks is in over Crabs in 2022.

Crabs beat Hawks, Hawks beat Bethesda and Bethesda beat Crabs. So they remove one with goals against(Bethesda) and go to head to head for Crabs and Hawks. Crabs are in playoffs over Hawks and Bethesda.

Below is pasted from the NPYLL website. I'd like someone to explain to me, based on this, how Hawks would be in over Crabs. The important part is the section on 3 way ties. Bethesda is eliminated first in any scenario making it head to head between Hawks/Crabs.

Ties in standings are resolved as follows:
1. Head to head result
2. Goals against vs. common opponents
3. Goal differential vs. common opponents
4. Goal against over all
5. Goal differential over all
6. Coin flip

If there are 3 or more teams tied, once one team is removed from the tie, the remaining teams will return to the first criteria to determine tie breaker for those remaining teams.

2021 Championship will be Hawks v Crabs......so much for that Bethesda "Domination" as stated by a BLC Parent on this site.

Don't forget that the Administrator of the league is the guy that owns the Hawks!!! Of course they got in! That's how all his summer tournaments work to.

looks like they went with the rule: Team with fewest goals scored against them by the other teams that where this is a tie. Putting Hawks in front of both other teams

So you're saying they just made up a rule and didn't go with what is in the league constitution? Sounds fair

I read it as Head to Head first, if that doesn't settle it then the team with fewest goals allowed would have the tiebreaker. I don't think one person makes these decisions, I would hope not anyway.

Can you give us one example or is this just a typical anonymous baseless accusation. I have known Matt for 25 years and think he has always been a straight shooter. If his tournaments are so slanted to the Hawks, why do people keep coming back in droves. Please just one example.

You are ignoring the final part about the three team tie. It says after removing one team, go to first criteria. They removed Crabs and Bethesda using goals against and just made Hawks the 4 seed. If they removed one team as the rule states, they remove Bethesda and go to first criteria for remaining teams. Crabs beat Hawks. End of story. Crabs got screwed.

So for poster that has known Matt for 25 years and wants one example. There you go. Hawks got put in playoffs against the rules of the league he runs.

Just because you interpret something one way, doesn't mean the other person is wrong. I don't think Matt made any of these decisions by himself, so I am that poster and I would still like an example of a summer tournament where he has screwed someone. That was the original post.

Pretty sure one person doesn't make decisions all by himself. According to many coaches including the Crabs the process was correct.
And to say that All Hogans tournaments are rigged is just ridiculous and you sound bitter and slighted. Hundreds of teams come from all over the country to play in his tournaments. He has a few hundred teams in just one of his tournaments . Crabs are an elite program and you are on here crying about 11 year olds who won 3 games not making the playoffs.

by the way Cannons will beat all in this class this year. Hawks are the only team with a chance and its not a good one.
