Recent Long Island Sting graduates and placements follow.

=====

Mahwah Midfielder Headed to Notre Dame
A strong performance at the Radnor (Pa.) Quakerfest with the Long Island Sting helped Mahwah (N.J.) senior midfielder Bob Collins gain interest from many colleges.

After a post-grad year in 2013 at a school not yet determined, Collins will attend Notre Dame after also considering Yale, Princeton and Bucknell.

Collins played at Mahwah and with the Sting with Mark Glicini, who is now PGing at Deerfield Academy (Mass.), before heading to Yale.

=====

Kevin McDonough, M, New Canaan (Conn.) has verbally committed to the admissions process at Penn, reports LaxLessons.com. The 5-11, 205-pound middie plays for the Long Island Sting lacrosse club, and was also a football prospect. McDonough is a 2012 recruit, but will take a PG year and is considering both Deerfield Academy (Mass.) or Lawrenceville before joining the Quakers. He also considered Yale and Princeton.

5th/6th combined team is $1500 - seems allot for a start up programs or a resurgance to bring back the youth program to this club.
