What about all the girls (4 I think) who went from 3rd team at YJ to top guns black? Two last year, another one or two this year. The girls on YJ 3rd team can play. And they do get treated like second class citizens ! Only so muc under appreciation one can take.

Which age group? Some TG black teams are pretty good and some are pretty bad

Also I would like to point out that only one 2019 moved up to 2nd from 3rd team last year and two this year. And 2 if not all 3 of them are from that "special" zip code. If CR is going to allow that, no wonder girls are trying out elsewhere and looking for opportunities to play in a better bracket than YJ 3rd.

Two kids from my town are on YJ 4th team and they both belong on YJ 2 nd team

Here is the conversion factor for ya, go from TG to YJ and drop a team or two, go from second or third team YJ and jump to black. The top say 5 player on black relate well to blue, then its a freefall. Whatever, your daughter may be better off being a solid contributer on the TG black team than a middle of the road girl on Blue. Same can be said of playing for purple, many of those girls are way better than the bottom half of black girls, but team chemistry says you can only have so many of those take control girls on one team. Teams would suck if 100 percent of the girls went to goal every time they touch the ball. Lets try to spread those girls out and keep that down to 80 percent.

Good points. Bottom line is there are lots of good players, but there will not be good opportunities for all of them at YJ. Top teams become relatively set and there is little movement. Don't blame kids for moving on and finding other opportunities that work for them. There are always girls on teams 2,3 and 4 that are arguably better than some of the ones on the first team. Question is whether they are happy. If they are not why hold it against them for moving on and finding a spot on a top team where they are going to be in that top bracket at tourneys? And maybe getting more appreciation. A lot of the reason to pick a program has to do with the quality of the coaching. While YJ does have some excellent ones, they also have some average coaches and others that from experience are pretty poor. Its a lot of money for mediocre. Find the right fit for your kid. There are lots of programs and the YJ name is not always working for you if you are not on the top team.

It's always nice to have options . Good luck in the upcoming season!

YJ miss players all the time in Denver the best 2017 player was on gold not blue.

Maybe they are replacing the TG players who left and now play for YJ.

If you play Black you play top tournaments unlike the 3rd and 4th YJ team. Those top tournaments get you looks from coaches. Nobody cares who wins and looses. So for many of the strong 3rd and 4th team YJ girls that can't crack the top YJ teams (lots of times because of politics) Your still paying $4000 a year but now there will be coaches watching!

CORRECT! Playing on a losing Black team at a top tournament will still get you more exposure especially when you are playing teams like the YJ's M&D Sky etc. Coaches are there to see players on those teams. YJ 4 vs Beachbums or Wave doesn't get you a lot of looks.

And look how many of the TG black girls are playing in the Elite 120 this weekend - ZERO

On the YJ rosters do the colors players are hi-lighted have any meaning i.e. pink, green, yellow, blue

Yellow = Goalie
Pink = Middie
Blue = defense
Green = Attack

It doesnt really mean all that much, with the exception of two goalies most teams are all middies

Pink = midfield
Blue = defender
Green = attack
Yellow = goaltender

Yes - those are the positions.

How do you figure out which team is #1, 2, 3, 4, etc at each age group?

What crap at 2021, a girl makes 3rd team, dad calls and begs her up, then moved to 2nd team. Final roster she is on 1st team. Joke, guess dad begged her up again. Then they throw the leftovers onto a 2020 team.

Why do you care? If your daughter was on one of the teams you would know what of teams was.

She is and we are not happy with 25 girls on our team. WHen the girl went with the blue girls all she did was try to go to cage and drop the ball. The evaluators sent her back down in a hurry. There were 5 different girls from the 2nd team that where head and shoulders (literally and figuratively) better than her. Her addition makes us weaker.

Rosters size is ridiculous on most teams.

This is untrue. There is no kid that was listed on YJ 3rd team that is now on 1st. One kid moved from 2nd to 1st but she played on the 2nd team last year. So stop being upset that your daughter is on the 3rd team or that your daughter is on the 1st and will now lose playing time to a more deserving kid.

Understandable if she was a more deserving kid. But she isn't, there are 5 or more that were better than her that are still on the 2nd team.

SO QUIT. You will be paying $4,000- $5,000 in a year or two once big time travel kicks in. What lunatic would pay that much money to a business they were unhappy with? You are the consumer, you get to choose. It's like CR has a death grip on you. People still begging to give her all that money to play on the 3rd, 4th 5th 6th team with a part time college girl as a coach. If you aren't on the top 2 teams for whatever reasons (skill or politics) move on!

Al rose is now a coach for 2019 4th team.

The contention was that she made the 3rd and her dad called to get her moved. This is untrue! She is a very good player. Could she interchange with a couple others from the 2nd maybe but 5 better is not the case. Could the top 5 from the 3nd change with bottom 5 of 1st yes.

Wait it gets better . The Dad spends the entire game screaming to his daughter to go to goal. I for one am glad they are both moved up. Now I don't have to listen to him SCREAM the entire game. Be careful what you ask for she will spend a lot of time on their bench.

In any competitive game only those who are capable will be rotating in. Those who struggle will find a seat on the bench and will get their minutes in less competitive games nothing new. Welcome to blue! If that's not for you than there are other options. Earning your playing time is not a new concept for blue teams.

Its very classy to single out a 12 year old girl on the message board and having no balls by signing it anonymous. I'm sure the YJ Directors are proud to have low lifes like yourselves in their organization. Your setting a great example for your girls.
