Smithtown West has a nice defense with three juniors and sophomore holding down the majority of the action. West Islip looked like midseason form with that win over North. Bay Shore pulls off a great win for that program.

Last night, Mike Messere, long-time head coach at West Genesee (NY) High School, became the all-time winningest lacrosse coach, notching his 748th career victory when his Cats defeated rival Oswego High School, 7-3. In reaching the milestone, Messere passed another long-time New [lacrosse] high school coaching legend and fellow Hall of Famer, Joe Cuozzo of Ward Melville.
