Could my kid have played yes, we went to the first practice at Mt Sinai HS and listened to the Director/Parent/Coach talk about his philosophy, which included the fact that his son is older but skills wise he isn't quite there so he will combine ages and play in the lower age. That is a completely ridiculous approach to take with a club, I can tell by your question that your son did play. If he played 2022 then you made out better than 2020. 2022 played on age even though they were combined 3rd 4th grade team.
How many showed up? I'm hoping to get my kid on a team where he can watch the coach/directors kid play. Or maybe he will bring his older son down to take my kids spot! Jk is a JOKE!
