That is why allowing older kids to play down is all wrong. My son is in 5th grade (2021) and his birth date allows him to play fourth grade (2022). However he plays on a Sixth grade (2020) team. If 2019 kids play down he is going to be playing kids 2 years older then him. When I was young the best kids played up not down. What a disgrace that parents would even think of allowing a kid to play down.

I know 4 boys from LI current 2019 that are sept 2001 birthdates and are thinking of moving down. Why not?
