Just make sure your son still loves the game and treat him according to his desire to get better. If not there and just wants to part of a team so be it. If he has that rare desire to be a complete competitor, push him in the right direction. Don’t complain about roster spots of other kids on other teams. Just focus on yours. That’s the problem with society today, everyone is a know it all and want to know everyone’s business. Don’t be that guy or gal!!!
