I guess the next horn you hear for lightening, just keep on playing. Why even bother going to your vehicle? The horn signaling 'return to field" means what? Your late?.... Maybe the NGLL should put that in their rules. and You can't compare the other game that was played at those fields because you don't know what the conversation was between those coaches and refs and what they were instructed to do during the delay.
The fact is LBC tried to cheat their way out of this, a Coach who is trying to teach their players the right way of doing things, would have played out the game and not intentionally stop play. That's what all of the other coaches out there did, your augment of amount of time left is up to the officials and their watches not the coaches, so there is no excuse for what LBC did, it was a clear attempt to cheat, and the parents should be talking to the coach about the lesson that was taught yesterday.
I am disappointed that NGLL did not consider this a forfeit as it allows teams to stop playing with out penalty in the future.
