All you can do as a parent is find a club giving you the best resources in terms of recruiting, tournaments, training, etc. other than that, it’s about if your kid is happy there. If you can land a really solid non parent coach as well, congrats!

My daughter is in college now and my experiences with Long Island clubs has taught me that the “rumors” about a few clubs aren’t really rumors. They hold true time and time again. At this point, unless you do have a personal connection to trainers, directors, or coaches you’re kind of stuck where you are unless you’re a stud. Make the best of the team you chose because they only have two more years. If you made a mistake in the team you chose to spotlight your kid, that’s on you.
