And it is 100% true that other sports do a better job policing this issue. Hockey and Soccer have very stringent rules and actually penalize parties that obstruct or break these rules. Overall Lacrosse is lacking this structure and if it doesn't change really soon it's going to be too late for high school aged kids.

It's already too late for the HS kids. They're now party of the recruiting circus and nobody cares about how old they are, in fact recruiters would prefer they were older. I do agree that US Lacrosse especially LI club owners demand an on age policy. Not sure it will work since a few of the LI owners have franchised to other states. It's going to take a serious injury and lawsuit to change their minds

US Lacrosse doesn’t want to change the rules. The way it is now benefits their elite clientele! They Have the $s to hold their kids back and get them a few extra years to get better and get an advantage to get into that top name colleges! Because , even with their $s the kid may not have had a chance at those schools without lacrosse. It’s happening more and more and the “on age” kids with middle class $s are at a total disadvantage. Forget lower income kids! It cracks me up when US Lacrosse says it’s trying to make lacrosse an opportunity for all! Lol. It’s only getting more elitist by the day!!! Need new leadership in this sport. It’s out of hand.
