At this age group it is a mixed bag. Some teams stay together all year and practice weekly with “team” practices replaced by skill sessions that are position specific. After fall wraps up, box or basketball (sometimes both) take over. Basketball is awesome for lacrosse development and the skills for footwork, offensives and defensive sets carry over. Box is a much different animal but also helps with quickness and physicality. In the dead of winter skills or box should be once a week and more if box games are thrown in. Anything more and the average 11 yr old will tune out. Spring practice begins in late jan or when the snow melts. Some clubs pay up for indoor space for team practice but those are normally the more pricey and selective team options.
