Everyone should watch the kids on all these teams and follow their lead. The kids get it ( maybe a few dont but blame that on those around them). It's the parents that turn it into the circus. Let the kids play, develop and enjoy the game. Your useless screaming, sideline interventions and after-game critiques are doing nothing for them...

While I tend to agree with your statement about the parents I believe it's also the proliferation of A and B teams and overzealous owners. The price escalation for travel lacrosse is totally out of control. It wasn't too long ago that the upper tier of players only played travel year round. Now the programs have everyone convinced that if they haven't bought into the year round training they'll be at a disadvantage. Town and rec teams used to fill the gap for players want a little more than school ball. The three sport athlete is becoming rare yet travel clubs will tell you they love well rounded athletes. How could they possible have time AND continue to perform where it ultimately matter most, IN THE CLASSROOM.
