It matters when all the coaches are watching the highest ranked teams. If you are playing on that field, you have a better chance of getting noticed. No coaches at the lower ranked games. It was evident last weekend at MidAtlantic.

The colleges go to the top bracket games first, they don’t check the usclub rankings to see where teams are ranked. They could care less about that. And most coaches check out teams based on club reputation, not necessarily ability. Also if there is a player on a lower ranked team that they’re interested in they’ll go see them as well. To honestly believe coaches check the rankings before going to tourneys is ridiculous. The clubs place themselves when they register for a tourney, the tourney doesn’t check rankings first before they make brackets/schedule, they’re just concerned with making their money. Typically teams rank themselves in a 1-5 system and most teams rank themselves 3 or 4 as opposed to 5, (5 being the best) and the college coaches can check with the tourney to see what the top bracket is, however they prob already know going into it.

Coaches will come for good players
