that is all of new york. not every recruit reports their commitment on IL though...but it is still a good barometer to see that there is not as much disparity as some think there is. in the end the 23's will probably end up with similar numbers

Regardless, the population of LI alone is 7.7 million which is higher than that of MD as a whole.

Yeah but to be fair, the bulk of LI's population is in Brooklyn (2.59 Mil) and Queens (2.29 Mil), which don't really play lax. Nassau and Suffolk Counties are the lax hotbeds, and they total about 2.837 Mil.

If you add up to populations of Baltimore, Howard, Carroll, Montgomery and Anne Arundel Counties it's less than just Nassau and Suffolk as well.

It's a notIntelligent discussion. Anyone that thinks MD isn't still a lacrosse hotbed is just starting ish. While the game has grown MD and LI still produce a bulk of the talent.
