Fake news

It could be. Just simply stating what I read. Sorry if I offended you buddy

Its always the same year after year. The top girls play and they are seen. The rest are thrown in from time to time to keep the parents happy. The top players (like 12 girls) get committed and then the claws come out. The once die hard parents who thought their kid would be able to go wherever she’s wanted because she wore a certain jersey and traveled every weekend to MAYBE see some playing time is now slapped into reality once 11th
Grade comes. So now they are scrambling and don’t understand why their child has not seen much interest because they are on a top ranked team and their once loved club/team/coach is now horrible and it’s so political. The main thing is for your child to feel confident and if your on a team that doesn’t play your child or if they do play her but it’s only for a couple of minutes here and there you should be really thinking about what that’s doing to your daughter and her confidence in her playing. She has to feel so good hearing her die hard parents brag about the rankings and the team knowing she did not help get the team there. It’s a game and it’s about your child playing a game, learning and having fun! The key word here is PLAYING if your not on the field your not going to get better and your daughter is not going to be seen no matter what rankling you’re team is. More parents should try to look at the bigger picture and realize that the best team for your child to be on is one that values them as a player not a bench warmer. Also see how the 23’s are quiet right now. Well that’s because the top (maybe 15 girls) are all visiting schools right now while the others are waiting by the phone. Sad but true so if your the top player or a coaches daughter you should of course stay if your not you should run. If the coaches didn’t believe enough in your kid to play them do you really think they are going to help you play in college? Your better off being at a smaller tournament playing in the game then watching the game at the biggest tournaments.

The bottom line it's a big business. Soccer is even worse. Would any medical professional think it's a good idea to go from a soccer practice or game on to a lacrosse game or practice. There are Dr's who now specialize in over use injuries. Think about that, youth sports has created a whole new medical field. Do any clubs in any sport discuss the importance of rest and recovery? Rest and recovery doesn't make any money. For those parents who were athletes or had friends who were athletes, how many of you or your friends required surgery or pt as a kid? Probably very few, that's because you didn't have 9 or 10 games and or practices in a week. There's a reason the ncaa and professional leagues have rules in place on practice times, because too much is not safe even for adults. I think the drama would diminish dramatically for all clubs and all sports, if there was a little more emphasis on development in a healthy way and a little less focus on $. I would think if a club ran things in a healthy way they'd more than ,make up lost revenue on volume. People would be signing up in droves to be on the Z team. The pendulum always swings. I'd be willing to bet that our children won't put their kids through what we put them through.

I would agree. I would also add that these kids are urged to compete in multiple sports. That’s all great till you tear an ACL.
