The Hawks were the obvious choice in MD to buy. They have a lock on AA county and have been relevant nationally for years. Is there a Baltimore club program that is relevant top to bottom anymore? Now I hear True and Predators have teams in Baltimore? Baltimore can support 2 to 3 good (good nationally) teams per age group per year tops. With the current dilution, parents are paying $2k/yr for what MYLA was providing 5 years ago for $90/yr. I hope the investment doesn’t ruin the Hawks program.
The quality is already slipping. No Hawks team is no 1 anymore. Hogan often used non taxed labor to get his work done. They'll just become another True with a mixed bag of quality.
