Blatant is Ran by 2 Young Men not even 30 yet. They employee over 18 people full time. They also run tourneys and the LI Rebels. Sounds good to me. The 2025 did add few very good players and will compete with all. Have a Great weekend
Ok thanks MB. According to you any press is good press. You'll prove everyone wrong just like you did at qualifiers, Not, and at DC, again not. Rebels are the not quite A team. Accept the fact that they are probably outside of the top 10, and that's just on LI.
They finished at DC with the #10 rank in the world… but aren’t #10 on Long Island. Quick math!
Can you please share where Rebels was ever ranked “#10 in the world”? It’s a fine club and if parents and players are happy that’s great, but to say they were ranked #10 in the world is absurd.
Just talking the WSYL.
The went 3-2 in pool play (Including OT loss to BBL) and played in the 9/10 seeded game. Nothing about other tourneys or games.
Honestly, I don’t want to make fun of Rebels, but stuff like this is why people make fun of them. They had an OK performance at WSYL - finished in the middle of their bracket, didn’t make it out of pool play and then got their butts kicked in their consolation game - nothing wrong with that. Probably a better performance than most thought they would have considering the fact that they didn’t actually qualify for the tournament.
But to pretend there was some kind of ranking system in the consolation bracket that deemed them “#10 in the world” is absolutely ridiculous.
How many kids for the 2024's (age eligible of course) played with them at the WSYL that do not play with them now. Also, was the only reason they were in the WSYL because the team for Canada could not come due to Covid?
