I think the opposite is true. G8 is the best tournament of the summer because it is invite only and there is only top teams there. The coaches flock to that event. It's played in one location with all the fields side by side so it's very easy for the coaches to switch fields at halftime. It's not limited to 8 clubs anymore. If anything G8 is more a glimpse of the future than something that will fail.
