Yes and was stated earlier times have changed. All the privates are being much more aggressive going after kids which has watered down the public schools. All you have to do is look at the commitments on the rosters and it's noticeable. It wasn't like that until the last few years. Not that there aren't some really good players on public school teams. There definitely are. But they just don't have the depth that McD, SPSG, NDP and GCS have managed to build. There are 3 Senior UA All-Americans that would otherwise be at Carroll County Schools. The SPSG goalie is also a Senior UA AA and is from Carroll County. BR at GCS and MG at SPSG have really done well bringing in players the last few years. It used to just be McD and NDP with 15-20 D1 commits on the team. Now you can include SPSG and GCS in that list and Bryn Mawr isn't far behind. Even GFS is being really aggressive bringing in kids as witnessed by their current freshman class. The new AD(McD grad) and new coach are determined to build that program. Considering GFS is very close to the County line I'm certain they will also be pulling kids out of the county.
