That's not true at all. SP boys used to beat Spalding. But the SP girls haven't beaten an IAAM team in ages. They don't play them anymore. They scrimmaged SPSG twice in 2018 and 2019 and lost by 10 both times. And SPSG wasn't nearly as good back then.
SP girls literally beat Severn in 2019. As did Broadneck and South River.
You're correct. And Severn was 1-12 in the IAAM that season with a win over GFS who ended up dropping to "B" conference the next year. Not exactly a harbinger of success against the good IAAM teams. As mentioned SPSG beat SP in a scrimmage by 10 that season and the season before. SPSG went to the IAAM finals that year but were only 7-6 in conference.
