Every parent/kid wants to play on the best team no matter their talent. $$$$ There is a tremendous amount of talent in the sport beyond club teams and a kid doesn't need to play on a club team to be noticed and to play at the college level.

Really? Explain to me how a kid gets recruited if he is not playing on a club team? Where is the talent that doesn't play on a club team?

Agreed. You are more likely to get recruited through your club team (assuming it is a top team) than you are through your HS team.
