WSYL wants the highest quality players possible, nobody wants to watch Rec teams compete. And once you get clubs involved they have a reputation to gain. Every clubs wants to be able to claim WSYL champion. Great marketing to pull future revenue. So with reputation and money on the line you create an arms race to build the best team. WSYL can’t have both organic teams and high quality watchable lacrosse.
