This is the way it is outside of Long Island. This kid is not the only one. There are many more. They just holdback and reclass more and more each year to compete. Just to show how advanced Long Island is my older son just turned 17. He is a senior in high school. He is already accepted and signed his National Letter of Intent to play at a top 20 D1 college lacrosse program. He is a solid D1 player as a younger senior in a Long Island High school. If he was a freshman he would obviously be a much better player against younger kids. If this other kid was a 2021 would he ever be an all star? So yes, there is an advantage to being older.

Funny outside of LI....yeah because all the kids from LI are on age just like the top 2022 player.....
