Early commits doesn't mean anything! Lots of top players get recruited their senior year. If you read the back ground of some of the most gifted like Rob Pannell D1 colleges didn't even give him a second look because he was a late bloomer. Ask college coaches how many early commits self destruct, no thank you for my son!
Yes, during normal years. But it sounds like rosters are filled with extra eligibility players. Now comes the conversation do you go for a lower D1 to play D1 or the Top D2 or D3 school. Let’s just say you can likely take Virginia, Hopkins and NC etc off the list.
