She is definitely a top middi on Long Island. One of her best qualities r defensive skills. Not everybody plays defense at high-level. Some of those attackers barely had a ride. 90% of that team never even thinks about picking their head up. Couple attackers OMG. PASS THE BALL
funny part all the jealous crazy parents go on here and BLAST these kids that made the team, and blast them even more if they got an honor, but the irony of it all is they will be the same kids who make every 'watch' list, All county and AA and go to the top programs in the country. Been happening forever. as Ricky Henderson said....'they only BOO the best". I am the sure the results in Virginia were disappointing for all the girls, but it was probably also a great experience. They are all the midst of a very nice lacrosse journey that may lead them to college one day where they continue to play and have fun and make memories, all while the same parents whine and complain. Just enjoy the journey or at least let your daughters enjoy it without you ruining it for them. It will be over fast
Same parents complaining would sell an organ to have had their kids chosen, but come on here and tear down young girls instead. If their kid would have been chosen, and the outcome be the same, they would be on here defending the whole experience fiercely.
Same old sad mom and dads who are butthurt their kid didn’t make it. Now you say you’re glad your kid didn’t make it. Which is good because your kids probably won’t make It next year. Kudos to the girls who played and had the experience.
Kudos to the karma of getting picked for something they didn't deserve. Hopefully they lean from the train wreck. Maybe the lesson is that being picked due to politics is never a good thing and lacrosse is not for them!
If lacrosse “isn’t for them”, what’s your kids excuse? Should parents start telling you that maybe you should tell your kid that she’s never going to make a select team, and that she should just deal with it ? You’re going to throw your money down next year to try out. Just leave it be.
Yay, you’re getting the point! Many talented girls didn’t make the select team due to bias of the evaluators. What’s my evidence you ask? About half the girls picked did nothing to contribute to a win, in fact , they were liabilities on the field. Keep telling yourself that your daughter belonged there even though she did nothing. There were definitely a few that would clearly make the team no matter who was doing the evaluation, the bottom half had no business being there!
