There are plenty of Dad's that are able to control their biases and in fact are likely harsher on their own child to avoid that perception and do have great experience, passion and have stayed in touch with the game and are not dinosaurs... I never did understand why being a dad of a player on the team automatically equates with lack of experience and knowledge. Even if that were true - so what? He is taking the time to coach the team, practice plan, set up fields get there early, stay late all so his sone and 2 dozen others have a chance to play.

That's a particularly harsh view of the world. Even for a long islander.
