i am curious - i would love to hear a response from a parent that has a holdback kid or 2 holdbacks. Does their playing down outweigh all the classmates in school looking at the kid like he has a learning problem?
Thats easy, the needs of my little Johnny or usually gigantic overage Johnny out weigh the needs of everyone else 's children. My child comes first, I couldn't care less about anyone else's child or fairness as long as it not my kid getting the shaft. Johnny's classmates don't look at him like he has a learning problem the look up to him because he turned 12 before anyone else has turned 11. He's advanced because he already 12 in the same grade!
