would think the natural reaction to seeing a kid who is an outlier of some sort (size, speed, athleticism etc.), would be one of appreciation. it certainly is in other sports with deeper talent pools. here it seems it brings skepticism and excuses. it is a product of your sport growing. better athletes are playing. not just retreads of ex lacrosse players. be thankful the outliers are few and far between and your kids have an opportunity. hoops and football (with strict age groups) would make these "outliers" laughable. appreciate better athletes playing the game instead of trying to explain away why your kids are falling behind
