What event are you talking about?

Any event that is selling a showcase to 2023's. Anyone that thinks their son is being recruited by any coach in 9th grade is far too gullible. But in this instance, Igloo Elite 80.

Owner of Igloo got his son recruited to Providence through Elite 80 and being top dog club owner. It pays to know people.

New era where kids are not being recruited in 9th grade so hat does your statement have to do with the class of 2023

Although they aren’t “recruiting them”, they sure as heck are evaluations them. The better player at this age will only benefit from making a positive impression sooner than the field.

Thank you for pointing out it is always good to make a positive impression. Colleges are not interested in this age group as a whole. Sure, they may look at a few studs and keep tabs on them but the other 98% have time to develop physically and mentally. That is the beauty of the not so new rules. There are still plenty of freshman that are 5'5'-5'8" that are solid players but cannot compare to that kid that has been 6" for the past year. Mark my words, by 10th grade, most of them catch up and then it becomes interesting and fun. There will always be those studs that are either naturally great or work their buts off to become great. They will get recruited first and rightfully so but for the rest of our sons, enjoy the next year because the real work begins next Fall.
