Highlights

In light of our discussion earlier today about defensive recognition, we applaud today's Shoreham-Wading River write-up with coverage of ground balls and forced turnouts. Shannon Rosati finished with three goals for Shoreham-Wading River (5-1) in its Division II win. Meredith Bushell had four groundballs and six forced turnovers.

Huntington 16, Kings Park 15 (2OT): Tied at 15 with about 2:00 left in the second overtime, Alyssa Amorison scored off an assist from Alexis Thompson to give Huntington (5-1) the win in Division II. Down 15-14 with :43 left in the first overtime, Rachel Slagle scored to tie the game for Kings Park. Huntington was down 12-11 with :20 left in regulation until Hannah Burnett scored to force overtime. Amorison finished with two goals and five assists, Thompson had four goals and six assists, and Burnett had six goals and two assists.
