That model has been tried many times and I’ve never seen it work. There are too many kids playing on too many different teams. Zero continuity is built because parent and player priorities are elsewhere. The coaches have passion, but they don’t have a strong background in lacrosse, and as the kids got older, their skills has surpassed the coaches knowledge. Apparently one of their defenders got in the ref’s face and started dropping f-bombs yesterday, too. That shows a lack of leadership and respect. Sometimes there is such a thing as too much lacrosse.

So true. Kids are kids, they only are there to play, but parents have underlying motives. Passion is driven by various factors. Many coaches allow their passion to be driven by their own self interest. Therefore, leadership, structure and respect suffers. As such, during the game the coaches kid was upset the father (coach) called a time out, and began yelling across the field at his dad. For that reason, you need to be very careful upon the cart you hook your wagon to. Yesterday, was truly a bad look for one particular coach, but it seems as though he dosen't learn by the mistakes from the past.
