Funny how this discussion revolves around who is good at box or not. For all of these NJ clubs, box is used as a means of training for field lacrosse, they are not really box programs. My guess is that no parent in NJ is looking for their kid to move on to one of the professional box leagues. Anybody that has played one of the reservation teams or a true Canadian box program knows that the NJ, PA, LI, etc. box lacrosse that our kids play is not the real deal, no team from the tri-state area is going to compete with those teams. The perception that Penn Lax or Superstars are something special is misplaced, they are simply teams comprised of top players from many different clubs, i.e. they are just a collection of really good lacrosse players, not really good box lacrosse players. If you took the top kids from BBL, O2, LE, Tri-State, etc., you could create a team that would be very competitive, but nowhere near the talent of a legit box program.
