Spooky Nook, "Indoor Championship" Is not a good barometer of the talent of a team. The teams are all going with reduced rosters and missing top players. Just a fun event, nothing more.

So Indoor doesn’t count and nether does Fallball Ol yeah and summer tournament Playoffs don’t count cause there shortened games. Most top teams are rarely in the same bracket for full games so what is a good “barometer” hammerhead!

Full outdoor games with the full team are quite revealing of a teams talent, sad for you that this needs to be pointed out. Are you really that slow?

College coaches recruit players, not teams and after the top six players the rest are interchangeable in most cases, unfortunately most of you won't realize that until it's too late. The top 30 college teams probably have around 1,100 players on their rosters, what percentage do you think are from TG & YJ? The worst teams out there have at least 1-2 kids that can play, so you might beat T3 or the Phantastix 16-4, but guess what someone on those teams will be taking a roster spot from your championship caliber players, but at least you will have a Championship t-shirt at the end of the weekend. Are you really that slow?

In most cases if you play for YJ or TG and are a starter/impact player you will be fine. If you are watching the games you will know who those players are they don't need to be pointed out to you. If you are on the YJ/TG roster for whatever reason ( pay/play, siblings in the program, friends and family) you are not automatically going to get recruited because you are wearing their pinney. You need to play to be seen.

Case in point, TG 2020 has 6-7 kids(excluding Hofstra) committed, the rest aren't even playing anymore, they only have one team for the age group - started with 48 players on rosters, finished with 24 and more than half of them won't be playing anyplace special if at all, but they win all their games (no subs in any close games) and you have your championship t-shirts!

For the first few years the 2020 TG team was the top team on LI and in the nation. Started off incredibly strong, if recruiting is the measuring stick of how teams finish, you would have to say this team definitely did not finish strong. Ironically this is the 2023 thread, the only other age group where TGs had a strong out of the gate team, not nearly as strong compared to 2020, hopefully 2023 will finish up strong.

The TG 2020's talent didn't evaporate it moved. Levy was the coach, left to start Legacy and players left with him. A daddy coach who ran a rogue team left to YJ and players went with him. Those players that left are now committed to UNC, BC, Syracuse, Hopkins, etc.I would say they finished strong.
