Maybe not the early bloomers or the super talented but good players nonetheless. Seems like the coaches are always looking for the next best thing. Those kids are already set with their teams.

Some good points there. The new kids are more from the merger with Bonn's team, and some kids "moved up" to Blaze or Rebels, or other clubs, so there is a natural turnover for a second tier team, as there is with most teams. The few kids that weren't invited back were more from a attitude problem than a talent issue. The core of the team is still there, and there will be some adjustments that need to be made by the spring if the team wants to play at a higher level. They will never be a Blaze or Black Ice, but with the new additions, they may have jumper over some of the other top tier teams from LI. Now can they compete at the AA level without the holdbacks that are on the AA teams is the real question.

Did those attitude problems stem from the favoritism by the coaches towards their kids and their friends? If so then it seems like they just didn't go with the status quo. After merging 10 players from a similar team there may be some growing pains as players who are used to having key roles may not be happy with diminished playing time. That goes for kids from both teams and the coaches as well.

The attitudes were probably from the same people coming on here and bashing the Team because their kids don't get playing time, or think that they are too good for a "b" team. The few kids who didn't come back just didn't progress with the rest of the team, the solid core is the same, and they added on a much needed second middie line and a second goalie. There are way too many poles now, and yes, there is going to be some growing pains as the existing Ambush parents were heard in DE complaining that the new coaches had too much sway in what was going on, and some of the core players were taking a backseat to some of the new players. Typical for Fall ball when new players are added, and just intensified because of the new dynamics. This move has made them a true A team, but still short of being a AA team. We will see what happens, but most importantly at this age is what kind of colleges will be looking at this team. I think Bonn adds some more credibility to the team and they may get some better looks now.
