Heard a rumour that Knights have folded. Is it true? Really surprised.
There are easily 10 plus clubs with teams in this age group. Some with more than one team. Why are you surprised? There are only so many 6th grade boys who play lacrosse on Long Island and each club is trying to get them.
From what I saw, Knights did a good job of coaching and keeping the kids challenged. What they probably did wrong is forget that parents and even kids want a Championship t-shirt every now and again. All you need is a couple to look for greener pastures and you can't field a team.
