Clearly you've never coached or even played on an A Conference championship team at the Varsity level. If you had you wouldn't be pontificating...in other words its really tough to take a perennial cellar dweller and win a championship much less make the semis.

Talent and potential alone don’t win championships. Player development, game planning and in game adjustments are equally important. Having the best building materials doesn’t guarantee the house will be well built. You need a seasoned successful builder and some great sub-contractors (assistant coaches) who work well together. Talent is great but having great blueprint, experience making critical coaching decisions in A conference or top level collegiate lacrosse is equally important. Given the influx of talent, I would be disappointed if Spading didn’t make the playoffs (the top 6) during the next two years but making the semis and winning a championship is an aspirational goal at best.
