Does anyone know about the Long Island Showcase Nassau vs Suffolk Game? Is it worth doing?
My son has done this the last 2 years and it will come down to who the coaches are. I have seen kids picked that got cut from every club team but plays for one of the coaches. One year they took 3 attackman from 1 school and I assure you 2 out of 3 of those kids were not one of the top 20 attackmen that were at the tryouts(in the final tryout the 2 kids didn't have 1 point) .
be careful, but do it. it is fun for the kids to play against kids they know, but when it comes down to the final cuts don't hold your breath.
They also took kids that didn't even go to the 2 tryouts and that is what is not fair. They were good players but I don't think that is how it should be.
