Yes you are correct a school can offer 4 yr scholarships but they are virtually non existent, especially in Lacrosse . So I will stick to may post that they are year to year.
The Big 10 guarantees all athletic scholarships in all sports for four years. It was part of the settlement reached after the Northwestern football players threatened to unionize. The Pac 12 followed shortly after. So they r not virtually non-existent.
